Does my Affidavit or Declaration need a Notary

Yes. Affidavits, statutory declarations and oaths of all types for use outside Northern Ireland should be attested by a notary. We are also authorised to attest affidavits, statutory declarations and oaths where the documents will be used within Ireland in our capacity as commissioners for oaths. Affidavits and statutory declarations must always be sworn or declared in front of the notary.
